We built Docura because signing a contract shouldn't take a week.
Existing tools were built for enterprise legal teams with months to spare and IT departments to help. We built for the other 99% — the startup closing a deal at midnight, the freelancer sending an NDA from their phone.
Our story
In 2023, our founders were running a small consulting firm. Every client engagement required a signed contract. The existing tools were either painfully expensive, required the client to create an account, or buried a simple 3-page agreement inside 40 screens of enterprise UI.
So we built our own. The first version was a weekend project — you uploaded a PDF, drew boxes where signatures should go, and the client got an email. No accounts. No downloads. No friction.
Within three months, 50 other small businesses were using it. By 2024 we had 1,000 teams. Today Docura handles over 50,000 signed documents per month, and the product philosophy is unchanged: signing should be the easiest part of any deal.

Every feature we ship has to pass one test: can a non-technical user figure it out in under two minutes? If not, we redesign it.
